Hey loves,

It’s been awhile since I posted here I hope every is well and Happy International women’s day ladies.

I shared on my instagram recently that I will be taking my hair care a bit more seriously now. I’ve had kinky afro hair in the past and oh boi! it was challenging maintaining it, I probably have 4d hair( I don’t think that range exists but if it did my hair will be in that range). I permed just to make my hair bearable to deal with cos my tender scalp had just had it with all the pain.

I think taking care of relaxed hair requires a bit more love and care since we use chemicals to achieve the straight texture. My main concerns with my hair is dryness and brittleness which means my hair breaks a lot. I’ve tried a few products which did not do my hair any justice, so I usually install a weave to protect my hair from further damage

I knew about Carols Daughter from my sister because she uses it a lot for her natural kinky afro. It wasn’t until recently that I found out they had products for relaxed hair (oh! happy day). I’m really excited to give my hair the love it needs.

The range I’ll be using is the Black vanilla (Shampoo, hydrating conditioner and the hair smoothie) which is targeted for dry, dull and brittle hair. It is also made of organic products such as aloe, sweet clover and rose. Carol’s daughter products are free of sulphates, parabens, petroleum, mineral oils and artificial colors.

I’m looking forward to the benefits of:

  • Replenishing moisture of the hair
  • Improving manageability
  • Adding shine

I’m looking forward to sharing my results with you, regular updates will be posted on the blog.

My hair is natural but feels lighter and always breaking. Am thinking of relaxing it koraa to be free. Am tired of it

Nice to know I’m not the only one with thick hair. Wanted natural but couldn’t so relaxed now.
